ABOUT THE
GOLD DIGGERS ASSOCIATION
ABOUT THE GOLD
DIGGERS ASSOCIATION
Fundraising
at Dunvegan Primary School is carried out by an elected parent committee known
as the “Gold Diggers Association”. The Gold Digger Association involves
interested parents and teachers who raise additional funds to improve the
quality of our school. While School Fees pay for the general running of the
School, funds raised by these people go on extras to the benefit of our pupils.
Recent extras include the revamping of all ablution facilities for pupils, the
South Wing Classroom block, computers in our computer centre. SMART Boards in
selected rooms and the face brick perimeter wall around the school.
The first meeting for 2012 took place on Monday 30th January
in the Staff Room at 19:00. It was pleasing to see we have some parents prepared
to give up their valuable time and so make a contribution to improving the
quality of education our children will receive. It was also good to see new
Grade 1 parents at the meeting too! The Governing Body has set a Target of R220
000.00 for the year – please support the Gold Diggers in their quest.

If any
parents are able to assist, or make donations to help raise funds for the
benefit of our school, please contact the Gold Diggers with your particulars,
via the School’s Front Office or send them an E-Mail. They always need any
sorts of Prizes, from children right up to adults.

Friday 23rd March was the big date - Camp Out
time again on the big field! As usual, the place was packed to capacity and
everyone found their spot to sleep under African Skies!
(A larger image is available on our Panorama
Page)

Remember, men know everything about camping!

Wouldn't miss this night for anything!

Scared of the dark? Us? Never!!

The whole family and nothing less!

If you're properly organised you could enjoy this more than
the kids!

The ladies corner!

All ready for action!

Sunset on a perfect evening!

Just chilling after a tough week!

We invested in Pizzas!

Braai time!

Lets eat!

Settled and relaxed!

Is there enough meat?

A bit of rugby talk too!

Great to be at school on a Friday!

Fire dancers - not to be tried at home!

Whoosh!

Lots of little devils glowing in the dark!
Well Done to the Gold Diggers and
their helpers for organising and running this annual event!
